Consultant ENT Surgeon

• You will be deliver clinical care to patients requiring otorhinolaryngology services, conduct outpatient clinics and ward rounds, and other duties, using the allocated time efficiently and effectively towards achieving the goals of the Annual Plan.
• You will share on-call duty periods, providing 24 hour cover for the acute ENT service.
• You will when necessary, assist in the management of patients with ENT emergencies.
• You will see and advise promptly on patients referred for a specialist opinion; provide and/or supervise clinical care including the assessment, investigation, treatment and appropriate referral of patients who present to the ENT Service.
• You will participate positively in team development and change management
• You will provides clinical supervision and teaching for House Surgeons and Neurology Registrars and provide education for Medical Officers, resident medical officers, and other staff as appropriate, both formally and informally.

• Medical Degree and FRACS or equivalent specialist qualification in ENT Surgery
• A broad generalist scope of ENT practice with procedural competency
• A subspecialist field of interest - one or more of paediatric ENT, rhinology or otology.
• Eligibility for Medical Council of New Zealand registration under the vocational pathway in ENT Surgery
• Demonstrated understanding of departmental / service development and the provision of strong clinical governance.

• A salary in the range of NZD 190000-270000 pa DOE
• Six weeks annual leave per annum
