The role presents an exciting opportunity as a Consultant Haematologist tasked with providing expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of haematological conditions for patients across the Nelson Marlborough region. The position is instrumental in building bridges with other healthcare professionals to ensure continued provision of quality services and improvements in community health.Responsibilities
- Driving the diagnosis, treatment, and management of haematological conditions.
- Collaborating closely with colleagues to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Actively participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic patient care.
- Leading initiatives that contribute to research and advancements in haematological care.
- Playing an active role in the education and mentoring of the junior medical staff.
- A valid FRACP certification with subspecialist training recognised by the Haematology Society or international equivalent
- Vocational scope in Internal Medicine - Haematology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Previous experience in diagnosing and managing a diverse range of haematological conditions.
- Demonstrable commitment to continuing professional development and quality improvement.
