Implementing External Regulatory Agenda: Lead the implementation of relevant external regulatory and public affairs agendas, navigating a dynamic and evolving range of issues.Stakeholder Relationship Management: Nurture existing relationships and develop new ones with external stakeholders to help manage their corporate reputation.Regulatory Priority Management: Manage key regulatory priorities in collaboration with business functions, ensuring fulfilment of obligations regarding social awareness and responsibility.Trusted Advisor Role: Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, offering high-level support and advice to departments such as, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and HR.Essential Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Government and Regulatory Affairs: In-depth understanding and experience in government and regulatory affairs.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven experience dealing with stakeholders on complex issues, including exposure to senior leaders and influencers.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences effectively.
- High level of attention to detail: able to confidently delve into the detail and make this easily accessible for non-experienced audiences in this field.
- Negotiation and Relationship Building: Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
Political Environment Exposure: Experience within the political environment or in consultancy/in-house roles.Complex Regulatory Environments: Experience working in or alongside industries with complex regulatory environments.Corporate/FMCG Experience: Experience within or alongside large corporate or FMCG companies.Can this be your Future Role?
- Knowledge of NZ Regulatory Environment: Established working knowledge of the NZ regulatory environment.
- Communications Expertise: Demonstrated all-around communications expertise.
- Prioritisation Skills: Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver at speed.
