Work Monday - Friday in a private hospital. Perform anaesthetic and sedation duties as part of the theatre team.About the company

Work as part of the operating team in a modern and well equipped facility. Make use of your expertise with peri-operative anaesthetic technology to deliver a customer focused service second to none.

  • Monday to Friday -no weekend work.
  • Rostered shifts

What you have to do:
  • Provide high quality clinical assistance to Anaesthetists and theatre team
  • Assist the theatre team with all facets of anaesthesia
  • Deliver safe and professional practices
  • Prepare patients for anaesthesia or sedation including, documentation, equipment checking, positioning, cannulating, and handovers to other team members
  • Be a team player as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Participate in training sessions as required
Skills & Experience
  • A qualified Anaesthetic Technician OR experienced RNAA
  • Must be registered with Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand OR New Zealand Nursing Council
  • Have a current Annual Practicing Certificate/APC or ability to obtain this
  • Proven previous experience in operating theatres
  • Clear and effective communication is essential
  • Proven ability to work in a co-operative environment
  • Overall professional presentation
