Connexa is an independent New Zealand mobile towers and passive infrastructure business, operating a nationwide portfolio of over 2350 mobile sites. Connexa’ s vision is to enable a more connected digital future for Aotearoa New Zealand.As a Structural Engineer you’ll be working closely with our inhouse Draftspeople, Deployment Engineers, Project Managers and Acquisition Managers as well as design teams who assist in the preparation and documentation of structural designs. You’ll be based in our modern new office based in Auckland CBD where we have a social, fun & inclusive team environment. You will be working on cell tower upgrades as well as new builds.Responsibilities include:

Plan and devise appropriate and economical civil & structural engineering solutions
Engineering design & calculations required for Concept to Detailed Design Stages
Undertake specifications and associated design documentation required for design documents
Development of engineering reports and applications and assist the Acquisition team for submission of engineering consent to council
Undertake detailed construction designs and documentation for civil construction and implementation of projects
Site inspections and survey work when appropriate, keep external stakeholders and internal team informed
Liaise with internal colleagues and with design teams including engineering consultants and other external sub-contractors
Attend design meetings with customers, architects and other design team members as required

Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent (CPEng benchmarks an advantage)
Experience in Structural engineering related disciplines from concept to post-construction stages
Telecommunications or adjacent Infrastructure sector experience preferable but not essential
Experience with NZ design codes
Ability to develop and review engineering designs, drawings and specifications
Comfortable with foundation designs – varying from normal concrete foundations to pile foundations and/or good understanding of geotechnical inputs
Comfortable with calculation, analysis, and modelling programmes as required for structural design
Comfortable with Civil 3D / 12d / HEC / Microstran, Space Gass or equivalent tools
