Mō te tūnga | About the roleWe are looking for a Supported Living Support Worker to work in Paeroa and Matamata. This is stimulating and meaningful work where you can be creative and make every day interesting in ways that are important to others. Through Supported Living you will support people with intellectual disabilities who are living in their own homes to:
  • Manage and learn new daily living skills, such as cooking, cleaning and managing money
  • Meet new people and make friends
  • Keep in touch with family and friends
  • Join community activities (e.g. sports and art)
  • Look for a job
  • Access community services
  • Supporting people to achieve their goals and aspirations
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bringNo prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary, but a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude is highly valued. Full training and orientation will be provided to individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You will need to be physically fit to support in a variety of activities
  • Have a Full NZ driver's license.
