Our employees live by these values through the work they do, every day, as one team.The opportunityAs HSQES Manager for the East Coast, you will implement the organisation's HSQES plans and policies. Through effective management and communication, you will lead the proactive safety culture of the region contributing to a sustainable and profitable business. You will provide leadership, advice and support to the region to help deliver work for customers safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard. You will also oversee the provision of education and training to employees.In addition to the above you will:Promote, lead and support the safety culture of the companyTake responsibility for HSQES within the company to ensure compliance with the company health and safety policyAssist with the development, updating and maintenance and implementation of the living safely manual to ensure compliance with H&S legislation, regulations and standards, and codes of practiceEnsure the systems in the manual are implemented and complied with throughout the companyProvide advice, guidance, support and training to management and staff at all levels in relation to health and safetyAssist management to comply with the company quality policyManage the procedures and requirements of the company environmental policyIdentify cost savings opportunities, ie - reducing injury costs through proactive spendTo be successful in this role, you will:A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within roading, civil or construction industriesFormal Health & Safety qualificationProven leadership skills and experience managing and developing teamsAbility to build and maintain effective relationships at all levelsAbility to influence and engage stakeholdersCompetent in producing reports and analysing dataHave a solution-oriented and hands-on approachYou will be a supportive and collaborative leader with a passion for developing and growing talent.
