As the Contract Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of 16 and manage the maintenance contract with the Southland District Council. In this role, your goal will be to ensure that the work is delivered safely and efficiently, while also promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.On a day-to-day basis you’ll look after:
  • Health and Safety
  • Providing clear direction and support to your team
  • Managing existing and new key stakeholder relationships
  • Programming upcoming work for your crew and/or subcontractors
  • Ensure the work is completed on time and delivered in a way that is consistent with the councils policies, procedures and values
  • RAMM entries and management
  • Overseeing completion of requests for services (RFS’s)
What you’ll bring to the tableWe’re looking for someone with:
  • Relevant qualification and/or extensive industry experience (equivalent to a professional qualification)
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in process/manufacturing plant operations
  • Experience managing and developing teams (preferred)
  • Relevant maintenance contract management knowledge and understanding
  • Safety related certification
  • Current class 1 driver's licence
