Te Whatu Ora Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua | MidCentral are seeking an experienced Registered Midwife with exceptional organisational skills for the position of Clinical Midwife Specialist – Antenatal Clinic.This role is 37.5 hours per week based in Te Rauru – Antenatal Clinic and involves overseeing and enhancing outpatient clinic processes through collaboration with primary, secondary and tertiary maternity services.You will be an experienced Registered Midwife, results driven and solutions focused, with the ability to work quickly and accurately by following agreed processes and guidelines. You will be working to the top of the midwifery scope of practice ensuring seamless and equitable care to all women and whānau and will work in partnership with women with complex medical and obstetric needs, provide women and whānau with expert midwifery advice and appropriate support, whilst providing midwifery and clinical leadership. The Clinical Midwife Specialist – Antenatal Clinic will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team including functional relationships with LMC Midwives, Obstetric team, Maternal Foetal Medicine, and other specialities as required.Requirements for this role include:
  • be a registered midwife with the NZ Midwifery Council
  • have a minimum of five years post-qualifying clinical experience
  • hold a current practising certificate with no conditions
  • completed or be working towards a post graduate qualification relevant to role
  • Authorised Vaccinator or working towards certification
  • achieved Leadership (QLP) domain if working in core/community role
  • demonstrate cultural competence to a high standard
  • have undertaken Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural responsiveness training
  • demonstrated knowledge and application of Turanga Kaupapa guidelines in practice
