The core values of the organisation are based on Māori concepts Whakawhanaunga, Manaakitanga, Ako and Whakamana and believe that everyone can live full and rich lives in their communities of choice.He kōrero mō te tūranga | The RoleAs a Mental Health Professional within our team, you'll carry a small case load of your own clients commensurate with your level of experience. In addition to holding a small caseload of clients, you'll utilise your experience and clinical skills to work alongside Kaimahi to provide quality, safe and evidence-based supports to Tāngata Whaiora.Being able draw from the strengths of our dynamic team to create and implement best practice interventions, support plans and rehabilitation strategies to support whaiora to achieve their personal goals, engage within their community as independently as they can, will also contribute to the success of this role.Most importantly you'll be someone our Service Manager can rely on to assist with quality control, input into audits, the day to day running of the service, on-going liaison and communication with other professionals and ensuring that we provide the best supports for Tāngata Whaiora in our service.This is a permanent, full-time position based in an Adult Residential Service. Hours are generally from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional on-call work required.He kōrero mōu | About YouYou'll have a proven track record of demonstrating assertiveness, accountability and compassion for people while influencing positive change.To succeed in this role you'll need the following:
  • A current registration with a professional body covered by HPCA 2003 Act, e.g, Social Work Registration and have a current APC
  • Post qualifying experience working within the Mental Health/AO Sector
  • Resilience and strong personal and professional boundaries
  • A calm and patient approach to challenges you may face
  • A current Full New Zealand driver's licence
