Prepare and audit drill and blast designs ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize drilling and blasting processes;
Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for continuous improvement;
Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to drill and blast operations;
Travel throughout New Zealand to support Orica's services and build strong client relationships.

What you will bring

Proven experience as a drill and blast specialist in both surface and underground operations;
Tertiary qualifications in a related field will be advantageous;
Technical background with a solid understanding of explosives, drilling, and blasting techniques;
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients;
Willingness to travel within New Zealand;
Self-starter with the ability to work independently;
Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment;
Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving excellence.
