- Campaign Execution: Implement and execute marketing campaigns and tactical offers, collaborating with the Tourism Marketing Manager for strategy.
- Content Management: Oversee website content for both Discover Waitomo and Kiwi Experience, ensuring it's fresh and engaging. This includes assisting with crafting new tour descriptions and managing Google My Business profiles for all attractions.
- Content Creation & Sourcing: Write, source, and curate compelling blog content for websites. Manage guest communication content and pre/post-trip email journeys.
- Brand Advocacy: Manage the Kiwi Experience community Facebook page, fostering engagement and building brand loyalty.
- Social Media: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across relevant platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook) to increase brand awareness, grow follower base, and drive engagement.
- Media & Influencer Relations: Coordinate media and filming requests and co-manage a travel influencer program under the guidance of the Tourism Marketing Manager.
- Partnership & Third-Party Management: Work with the trade team to provide marketing materials and tools. Manage requests for content by third parties, including media, websites, and other partners. Collaborate with external agencies to manage user-generated content and facilitate prize campaigns.
- Reporting & Asset Management: Provide monthly reports on marketing outcomes. Manage the Waitomo and Kiwi Experience online asset and brand library.
- Event Support: Assist with event marketing for The Waitomo Trail run and other industry events/onsite celebrations.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in a marketing role, preferably within the tourism, hospitality, or adventure industry.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles (SEO, SEM, social media marketing) and content creation best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive and engaging content.
- Practice working knowledge of Canva or similar tools.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for adventure tourism and a strong interest in New Zealand's unique offerings.
