Do you have a passion for ensuring that everyone has access to safe and secure housing? Look no further! We're seeking a compassionate Facilities Coordinator - Security to join our Tenancy Team at our NGO in the heart of Wellington CBD.As the Facilities Coordinator - Security, you'll play a crucial role in the security oversight and building maintenance management of our brand new 13-floor apartment building, overseeing a 75-unit complex designed to provide essential social housing to our community. You'll be at the forefront of ensuring the safety, well-being and comfort of our residents, acting as their trusted advocate and support system.Your duties will include but not limited to: * Security Oversight: Monitor security systems effectively, including CCTV cameras, to ensure the safety and security of all residents and visitors within the complex.
  • Community Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the premises to maintain a visible presence and foster a sense of security and community among residents.
  • Building Maintenance Management: Coordinate and oversee all aspects of building maintenance, ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and conducive to a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address any issues or challenges that may arise within the complex, working collaboratively with residents and stakeholders to find timely and effective solutions.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with occupants and support persons, providing empathetic support and assistance to address their needs and concerns.
  • General Administration: Handle administrative tasks efficiently to support the smooth operation of the premises, ensuring that all documentation and records are up-to-date and accurate.
Due to this role being carried out after hours, we will have 2 part-time shifts available as follows:Saturday and Sunday:
  • 08:30 AM - 9:00 PM
  • 8:30 PM - 9:00 AM
He kōrero mōu | About YouWe also have a wish list, here are some things that are on it:
  • A Diploma in Facilities Management and/or National Diploma in Security (Level 6) or the desire to work towards one.
  • Experience in facilities/building management, security, complex management, or similar.
  • Excellent customer service, including demonstrated ability to handle and manage difficult customer relationships.
  • Experience working with clients from a variety of cultures and in different circumstances.
  • Excellent communication written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Effective time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work in collaboration and build relationships with others.
  • Strong computer skills, a 'can-do' attitude and be ability to demonstrate strong personal and professional boundaries.
  • Full New Zealand driver's licence and working rights.
