We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a values-driven CA firm in Blenheim. The firm is seeking someone with strong technical and interpersonal skills to join the advisory team and provide success for clients.About the FirmThe firm is located in Blenheim and is strongly driven by its collective values to ensure positive results for clients. The role involves helping clients to reach effective solutions for their business challenges. You will be dealing directly with clients, as well as assisting and developing junior staff. The role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, cashflows, and tax returns, alongside managerial duties. The role extends beyond compliance work as you need to develop a strong understanding of the local business environment. To succeed in this role, the successful applicant will need a passion and motivation for dealing with clients, and present strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.Key ResponsibilitiesThis role includes but is not limited to:

Providing business, tax, and accounting support to clients
Building and developing quality client relationships
Financial forecasting
Reviewing and advisory work
Reviewing monthly and annual financial statements

Requirements

Tertiary qualification in accounting
Completed CA/CPA is advantageous but not required
5+ years' experience in accounting
Experience in reviewing work
Xero experience is advantageous
Strong interpersonal skills
High time management skills
