Job Description I am looking from someone to join our team how is really good at cow management. We will be milking 1900 cows through two sheds this coming season and this role is all about the cows and getting the most out of them.This role is for a production manager of 1000 cows on one of the farms however both farms work in together.We have a good crew but need some extra knowledge in the team to give us even better depth across the whole operation and to ensure we do not let any issues escalate.For this role you must be very confident in working in a cow shed and have a good understanding of how they operate. Cow health is everything so you must be able to pick up on mastitis, lame cows, any other health issues quickly and know how to treat them.
This role encompasses all aspects from feeding, health, milking and growing grass to maximize production.Please include two references as part of your application and only apply if you live in NZ now.
