Our client, a leading public healthcare provider with two well established hospitals, is looking for a Surgical Registrar specialising in General Surgery . This enriching role focuses on non-training general surgical services. The successful candidate will work within tertiary cancer services, gaining exposure to complex surgeries, outpatient clinics and operating times. The Surgical Registrar contributes directly to the life-saving work performed daily within these healthcare facilities and carries great responsibility and significance within the team.Responsibilities
  • Providing high quality clinical care to patients.
  • Working within the tertiary cancer services team carrying out complex surgeries.
  • Participating in outpatient clinics and operating lists
  • Contributing to the educational and training environment of the house officers
Requirements
  • A Medical Degree.
  • Eligible for general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in general surgery.
  • Minimum PGY 3+ physician level.
