Our kaimahi all have a common goal - helping people realise their potential with the aim of supporting people to live their best life as independently as possible.Ngā Ratonga | Our services:Phoenix is an exciting and innovative community-based AOD service located in Papakura, South Auckland.Within our addiction service, you will have the opportunity to work with adults aged 18 years and older where we offer holistic support to fit their needs and where they feel most comfortable e.g., whare, papa Kainga, and local park.You'll be joining a close-knit and supportive whanau at Phoenix, who are passionate about supporting people with AOD and/or Mental health issues and have seen great success with their community model.Our Phoenix Whānau model of care is based on dual peer support, a clinician approach to working with adults.Working within this service, you will be at the forefront of change in the health sector and contribute to the further development of our model of care. In addition to the above, our Phoenix service works within the principles of abstinence and harm reduction, in a holistic manner, recognizing the multi-faceted problems that co-exist with AOD addiction. You will be using your clinical skills and experience to assess AOD usage and create support plans to work alongside a Peer Support Specialist to support people along their journey to overcoming drug and alcohol addictions.He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role
  • Full-time role| Monday - Friday| 8.00am - 4.30pm
He kōrero mōu | About You
  • Current full APC, DAPAANZ, or registration with a Professional Body covered by HCPA 2003 Act or Social Worker Registration Act 2003
  • Post-qualifying experience with a minimum of 2 years working in AOD services, with a passion and knowledge of working with adults
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong professional boundaries and self-care strategies
  • Well-developed documentation and computer skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and culturally safe practice
  • A full New Zealand driver's license
