Where you’ll be working: General Surgery Department – Hamilton, New ZealandThe details: Permanent, Full time - 40 hours per week (1 FTE)Be part of the national transformation in HealthLevel 1 Trauma Hospital with a broad scope of General Surgery practice with a subspecialty interest in Oncoplastic Breast SurgeryJoin a dynamic and high functioning departmentThe OpportunityA position has arisen for a General Surgeon – Oncoplastic Breast sub speciality to join our Department of General Surgery. The role is 40 routine hours per week plus contribution to the acute on-call roster.About youSkills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o WaitangiVocational Registration in General Surgery and have sub-speciality training in Oncoplastic Breast SurgeryConfident in managing a range of conditions associated with doing on call General Surgery in a large hospitalTrack record of excellence in communication and collaboration with colleagues both within and outside the departmentCurrent APC and current membership with a medical indemnifierAbout our ServiceThe successful candidate will join a dynamic and high functioning department providing secondary services to the Waikato population, and a number of tertiary services to the entire midland Te Manawa Taki region.As a member of the General Surgery Team, this role has shared accountability for a population of over 900,000.
