As the Clinical Lead of the FLO Pasifika for Life Suicide Prevention Programme, the primary function of this role is to support the development, coordination and monitoring of the Le Va Suicide Prevention Pasifika community fund, and lead the development, clinical oversight and implementation of new tools, resources and training initiatives under the FLO: Pasifika for Life Suicide Prevention Programme.It is expected that all projects are evidence-informed, high quality, follow best practice standards, are within budget, on time, and are evaluated - particularly to meet the needs of Pasifika families and communities in New Zealand.The role will require high-level external stakeholder engagements, fostering collaborations at a national level, as well as acquiring and maintaining funding contracts.This is a permanent, full-time role. Monday- Friday, 8.30am 5.00pm, with occasional weekend or evening. The role is based in Manukau, Auckland. Travel involved in the role across NZ.You will have;
- Minimum of five years' experience in a clinical setting within mental health, addiction, disability or public health
- Experience in clinical leadership
- Experience engaging with Pasifika young people and families
- An in-depth understanding of Pasifika cultures
- Demonstrable practice of the Treaty of Waitangi principles
- Current full, clean New Zealand driver's license and flexibility to travel nationally
- You will also be passionate about eliminating violence, sexual violence and suicide within Pasifika communities in New Zealand.
- Relevant clinical post-graduate tertiary qualification
- Fluency in a Pasifika language
- Connections to community, non-profit or social sectors
