This is a full-time role based in Puriri House, New Plymouth. You will be working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm.Whetū Marewa is a service that aims to build confidence, resilience and wellbeing in taiohi (young people), aged 12 to 24-years-old, who are living with mild to moderate mental health and addiction-related issues and social stressors. The mobile service has an outreach approach, providing support from registered health professionals and youth workers in schools and community clinics, and offering access to a range of supported interventions when needed.You | Mōu
As a Social Worker, you will be drawing on your experience in working with young people, and expertise from a range of treatment modalities to provide therapeutic interventions in supporting young people to build confidence, resilience, and well-being.You will also:
- Be registered with Social Workers Registration Board New Zealand
- Experience working in mental health and addiction settings or similar
- The ability to work well with other services such as DHBs, PHOs, and the wider community and social sector
- Full New Zealand driver's license
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Ideally, you will have knowledge of the Health and Social Services sectors
- Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
