The Oncology Registrar Relievers play a vital role in maintaining the high-quality standards of medical services provided. They will be functioning across a variety of specialist services, including Medical Oncology, Clinical Haematology, and Radiation Oncology. This role significantly contributes to the well-being and treatment of patients in the region, offering an opportunity to make a marked difference within the community.Responsibilities
  • Work across diverse specialist services providing cover for planned leave. These include Oncology, Clinical Haematology and Radiation Oncology
  • Provide exceptional patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including onsite clinics.
  • Contribute actively to the organisation's regional cancer treatment service.
  • Participate in an active stereotactic programme in the radiation oncology department.
Requirements
  • Medical Degree
  • Eligibility for general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • Proven experience at a Postgraduate Year 3 (PGY3) level and above
