Looking for a positive, motivated person to milk 720 crossbreed cows across 260ha's of rolling country. 50 bail rotary shed, cup removers, auto teat spray, feed pad, maize bunker, modern machinery, serviced DR200 2 wheeled motorbike provided, spring calving.

Property is located along the Waikato River, ideal playground for wake boarding and swimming. Local school and playcentre 5mins away. Putararu (30mins), Te Awamutu (40mins).
Candidate must currently be in New Zealand and pass a Pre employment drug test.
Role will require pervious dairy farm experience in line with requirements of a herd managers position, these include but not limited to ability to milk cows efficiently and safely. Animal husbandry skills to identify Mastitis, lame and general ill thrift in the herd and treat appropriately. Implement the herd feed plan including pasture allocation, supplement feeding on feed pad, use modern methods to do so. Spring rotation planner, feed wedge, plate metre, square metre allocation should all be part your management tools. Assist and carry out reproductive plan. Carry out effluent management. Implement weed control program. Assist with general on farm maintenance when required.Strengthens in math's and written spoken english important to the role. Those that can think, adapt and implement plans will excel in the role. Written C.V is required on application.
