Sales and Account ConsultantWaikato or AucklandPermanent Full-timeAbout the role - Kōrero mō te tūrangaReporting directly to the National Business Development Manager, the Sales and Account Consultant is expected to achieve the sales and financial budget targets for First Aid. You will be a part of a dynamic team that are leaders in the first aid training and products , where you will further grow our business by managing key business accounts and harvest new business leads.You will ensure that our clients enjoy a quality customer experience and feel valued by the work that you do. You will promote the work of Red Cross, and focus on helping our clients achieve a compliant and safe place of work. Your attention to detail and agility to meet customer demands are essential for this role.In this role you will:
  • Manage the New Zealand Red Cross client relationship for Territory accounts, while supporting the relationship for all National Accounts. Provide information, as requested, to assist the National Business Development Manager with business planning, including budgets, sales targets, call cycles etc.
  • Work with the Team Leader Products to gain a full understanding of the products within your portfolio.
  • Regularly monitor and track your own performance using information technology provided by the organisation, and reporting on a regular basis.
  • Be aware that the sales teams are the front facing role for the organisation, and the responsibility that this brings to the role and behaviour.
  • Participate in sales and product training as provided by the organisation and its vendors and suppliers.
  • Make regular and planned sales calls on current and potential customers throughout the territory on a regular cycle, every customer engagement to be logged within the organisations CRM as described within the Client Contact Form.
  • Meet and exceed the target sales call frequency as directed by the National Business Development Manager typically to achieve the following:
Who are we looking for? - Mā‎ wai te mahi nei?To be successful you will have:
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in a face to face sales and/or key account manager role dealing with both products and services.
  • Skills and experience in development and implementation of call cycles and prospecting.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and resolve customer needs.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with the drive and resilience required to carry out cold calling.
  • Strong computing skills; Microsoft Office suite, CRM and Internet, ability to learn to use New Zealand Red Cross applications.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
