Our client is looking for a dedicated individual to join their team as an Assistant Accountant. In this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting the finance department by handling a range of responsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting or finance, with a degree or diploma in a related field. They value attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.THE ROLE:

Temporary assignment with the opportunity to go permanent.
Full time.
You must be able to travel between their two sites in Penrose and Manurewa.
One day working from home.
$30ph+8% holiday pay.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Over 3 years' experience working in finance department.
Strong work ethic & motivation.
Proven ability to work unsupervised, organise & prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Intermediate MS-Excel skill and experience using an ERP Accounting System.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:

Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Credit Reporting prior to New Customer Account set-up
Invoicing weekly & fortnightly, manual invoices and credit notes processing
Debt Collection
Perform the bank reconciliation
Preparation of weekly cash flow report
