Dunedin Hospital0.5 - 1.0 FTEWe are seeking applications from a suitably experienced Endocrinologist to help us meet our service requirements at Dunedin Hospital. This role is for a 0.5 FTE Endocrinologist with the ability to combine with another speciality to form a 1.0 FTE.Mo te turanga - About the roleOur endocrine and diabetes service provides care to the Otago region. It is predominantly an outpatient based service although we also provide an inpatient consultation service for endocrinology. You will be expected to manage patients referred with the full range of endocrine conditions, including gender affirming hormone treatment, as well as complex diabetes patients. We have a dedicated diabetes inpatient team. You may be required to participate in outreach clinics across the Otago region and be asked to provide advice to clinicians working in our rural communities and hospitals. We have a strong focus on learning and are involved in medical student and registrar teaching.
