MercyAscot is New Zealand's largest private surgical facility with 22 theatres across 3 Auckland sites. Due to considerable growth in our organisation, including the construction of a new hospital wing at Mercy Hospital, we have relocated our Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) off-site to a brand new purpose built facility in Parnell.We now have a vacancy for a dynamic and commercially savvy Clinical Manager to lead the CSSD facility team and manage the sterilising service for our growing organisation. Reporting to the General Manager of Ascot Hospital, and based at the new CSSD facility in Parnell, this is a permanent full-time role and a fantastic opportunity for an OR CNM or Sterilising Unit manager to put your theatre, sterilising & business management expertise to broader use in a site management role.The Role:
  • Provide site management & clinical leadership for the daily operations of the CSSD and delivery of sterile services to MA operating rooms and external customers
  • Accountable for operational quality and compliance under ISO and AS/NZ standards, including management of inventory, supply chain & distribution
  • Lead and grow the capability of the CSSD team, including recruitment, performance management, and the development of a sustainable work culture
  • Oversee compliance of all Health & Safety requirements with a focus on continuous quality improvement
  • Deliver an efficient & effective service that meets strategic plan and service level agreement requirements resulting in positive clinical outcomes for patients and exceptional customer service
Our Ideal Candidate will have Significant Experience:
  • Managing Operating Theatres that deal with a wide range of surgical cases and/or
  • Managing CSSD / Instrumentation, Sterilising and Loans and
  • Leadership and People Management and
  • Business Acumen and the ability to site manage a facility including budgets, quality, compliance etc.
