A permanent job with team of 6 consultant orthopaedic surgeons in a stunning regional location with a generous salary, relocation package and retention bonus.This job is based in a public hospital providing secondary care to a population of 140,000. It has a 24/7 emergency department, medical, surgical, ENT, ophthalmology, O&G and paediatric services. There are 35 surgical beds and 4 operating theatres.The hospital is a well-resourced centre, proud of its comprehensive range of services including spiral CT, 1.5T MRI, Resuscitation bay, Acute Assessment Unit, Critical Care Unit, Assessment, Treatment & Rehabilitation Ward/Acute Stroke Unit, Medical ward, Surgical Ward, Children's ward, maternity unit, acute mental health ward (adult), operating theatres, ambulatory clinics, and community based clinicsJob Duties and Responsibilities

You will join a team of 6 consultants supported by a strong team of registrars and house officers to provide quality orthopaedic care.
You will conduct out patient clinics and correspond with general practitioners
You will manage in patients and conduct ward rounds
You will perform acute and elective orthopaedic surgical procedures

Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

Degree in Medicine
Completed your residency/ registrar training in Orthopaedic Surgery and hold FRACS or equivalent qualification.
Have or be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in the scope of orthopaedics
Broad, general experience in orthopaedics and trauma
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively interact with a diverse range of patients and staff
Strong teamwork skills will enable you to work effectively with your team and other departments.

Remuneration and Benefits - Up to NZD $450,000
