Support the Health and Safety Manager and grow your experience in the industry. Influence and create buy in throughout the organisation.About the company100% Kiwi owned, this business is well established in the waste and resource recovery industry. With branches throughout the North Island and around 550 staff, they are a major player and pride themselves on innovation of technology to minimise waste to landfill. Involved in their local communities, this business is proud to support schools, local work experience and arts and sporting events.About the roleReporting to the Health and Safety Manager, we anticipate candidates will have great communication skills and the confidence to work alongside both operational staff and senior leaders. Assist Site Managers with risk mitigation that is practical and meaningful for frontline staff, travelling regularly between sites around the lower North Island.There's opportunity to assist the Health and Safety Manager with training, toolbox talks and Injury Management, as well as contributing to the development of processes and documents.

Collate and analyse safety data for reporting
Support the development and set up of their Safety Management System
Support the implementation of safety solutions.
Coordinate and facilitate learning sessions.
Support Site Managers with incident investigations.

Skills and experience

Strong administrative experience.
Confident with Microsoft Office.
An understanding of Health and Safety and a desire to grow your knowledge and experience.
Experience in an operational capacity is preferred.
Comfortable in an industrial environment.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, using your initiative to problem solve.
Full, clean drivers licence (manual and automatic)
