- Kōrero Māori or talanoa and support our Māori & Pasifika Communities
Le Va is New Zealand's national Pacific well-being non-profit organisation within the Wise Group. Our purpose is to support Pasifika people to reach their full potential so that our families and communities are flourishing. Our approach is holistic: we believe health encompasses mental, physical, social, and spiritual well-being. Our portfolio supports this perspective, encompassing mental health, addictions, disability, public health, suicide prevention, violence prevention, and cultural competency training programmes.Le Va is a Peak Performing organisation. Peak Performance is about enabling individuals and organisations to continuously exceed their best in the pursuit of an inspiring purpose. It's a journey, not a destination and it's about becoming the best we can be.This role will contribute to the establishment, design, and delivery of Le Va programmes as specified in the appendix. At Le Va, we also support across teams, and the role will involve supporting other Le Va activities where required. We aim to achieve positive outcomes for Māori and Pasifika people as a “must-have” deliverable in all we do.What is the portfolio?
The FLO: Pasifika for Life (FLO) Suicide Prevention programme aims to engage and empower Pasifika communities in a sustainable way to ensure Pasifika families and communities know how to prevent suicide, and to respond safely and effectively when suicide occurs. FLO achieves this through three interdependent and synergistic workstreams:1. Equip - effective tools, knowledge and education for Pasifika.
2. Inform - quality research and evidence-based information for Pasifika.
3. Lead - service to our Pasifika communities at all levels.Find out more here: https://www.leva.co.nz/our-work/suicide-prevention/about-flo/The Benefits | Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou
