About our roleThis Parts Advisor position will see you work Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm with rostered Saturdays at our Ingham Prestige and Ingham Mitsubishi dealership in Te Rapa, Hamilton. As a Parts Advisor, you are the competent contact person for the selection, advising, and ordering of parts and accessories, over both the workshop and customer counter as well as handling phone inquiries from our key customers. You will provide effective customer service to a standard that drives increased sales, dealership performance, and customer satisfaction.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relationships to maximize repeat business from customer retention.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction by accurately receiving and recording booking and parts sales information.
  • Minimise stock obsolescence in Ingham warehouse stock by regularly monitoring stock, advising repatriation and disposal, and recommending action to reduce potential loss.
  • Utilize the Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC) to locate part numbers
  • Answering questions and fulfilling part orders for our customers at parts counter
  • Working with service advisors & technicians to provide required parts for service repair orders
  • Verify parts deliveries from distributors/suppliers by matching them with the invoice
  • Prepare Monthly returns to distributors/suppliers
  • Stay up to date and current with all training offered by distributors Mercedes-Benz and Mitsubishi
Skills & Experience
  • A current clean full Driver's Licence.
  • Proven experience handling multiple priorities
  • Have considerable experience in the parts operations of a retail automotive business.
  • Be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the trade market for automotive parts.
  • Experience using in-house computer systems.
  • Self-motivated and able to function under pressure
  • Proficient understanding of industry software systems and practices
  • Friendly communicator with good English language skills and a high level of personal integrity.
