Join our maternity team to make a real difference to the experience of new parents, their babies and their families and whānau.Mō te tūranga | About the roleAs a Maternity Care Assistant you will be involved in:
  • Supporting our Midwives - assisting with patient care under supervision
  • Cleaning equipment and preparing the birthing rooms
  • Basic baby care (bathing, changing nappies, and settling babies)
  • Assisting women with showering and at meal times
  • Clerical duties and other general duties as required to assist with the smooth running of the department

Mōu ake | About youWe are seeking applications from current midwifery students, that are enrolled in a New Zealand Bachelor of Midwifery programme who are dynamic, friendly and can demonstrate a high level of initiative. You will be committed to high standards of practice, be well organised and have excellent communication skills.It is important that you are motivated, flexible, and enthusiastic.
