Head Medical have opportunities for post foundation doctors possessing a minimum of six months experience within General Medicine. You will be based in one of New Zealand’s largest provincial hospitals and join a supportive team.

Salary Range NZD $94,618- NZD$124,892 per annum (depending on experience)

The RoleYou will be based in a large secondary level, 400 bed accredited public hospital providing acute and elective care for a region of over 162,000 people. It is one of the largest provincial hospitals in New Zealand. The hospital is modern with a full range of surgical, medical, oncology and radiological services. In addition, outreach services are provided at rural and community based facilities across the region in Wairoa and Waipukurau. The General Medicine department has dedicated team of 40 Physicians, 26 Registrars and 15 House Officers providing services across Acute Medicine, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Respiratory, Geriatric Medicine, Oncology and Cardiology. The department looks after more than 8000 admissions per year, across 4 medical wards and a 20 bed acute assessment unit.LocationThe Hawke’s Bay region (pop. 162,000) is set on the beautiful East Coast of the North Island.
