Job Description Farm Assistant Kerikeri - We are looking for a motivated and trustworthy farm assistant to join our family business on a full time basis from the 1st of June 2024. The farm is situated 10 mins out from kerikeri and milks 420 cows on a split calving basis through a rotary cow shed. The primary role for this position is milking cows so you must enjoy that and be able to identify mastitis cows and have experience (least 12 months) in running a cow shed. You will be working alongside a member of the ownership team everyday so will have support and guidance in your role. Other tasks may include moving stock, effluent management, calving and calves, fencing and some machinery tasks. You will be on 50-55 hour work week with every second weekend off. Accommodation is available with this role. We operate a drug and alcohol free workplace with regular testing regime in place.
