And we build on this every day with our ambition to engage one billion people to live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives by 2030.And to get there, we need leaders with the courage, clarity, and humanity to inspire, guide and support their teams to thrive every day - in the work they do and the life they live.If you sound like that leader, read on.The opportunity:Leading a team of two and reporting to the Head of Financial Control and Tax, you’ll manage the tax function for the AIA NZ Group to ensure that tax risk is managed effectively.Key responsibilities include:Managing tax compliance and payment obligations for the AIA NZ Group.Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of tax balances for financial reporting purposes.Providing tax disclosures, analysis and commentary required for local and group reporting.Providing timely and accurate tax advice to the business and monitoring tax policy developments.Developing and maintaining a robust tax risk management framework.Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.Managing relationships with key stakeholders, including Inland Revenue.Supporting delivery of projects and managing tax risk arising from change.Ideally, you’ll bring:8+ years in tax risk management, with strong technical and functional skills in tax, accounting and risk management.Experience in navigating complexities of data, systems, products and regulatory requirements for the insurance and investment industry.Strong people leadership skills, with a track record of inspiring and developing high performing and engaged teams.Superior stakeholder management skills, adept at building and maintaining relationships at all levels, internally and externally.Demonstrated ability to lead by example, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.Why choose AIA?At AIA, we believe in empowering every one of our people to find their 'better'.
