The successful candidate will be a qualified carpenter with a minimum of National / NZ Certificate in Carpentry or equivalent qualification and ideally ten (10) years current industry experience. It would be a strong advantage if you were a LBP and also held the NZ Certificate in Adult Literacy & Numeracy Education (NZCALNE), the NZ Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching (NZCAT) or equivalent and unit 4098 workbased assessor, however these are not a requirement.This position, based at Mana College in Porirua, will require you to be hands on, facilitating one on one learning, mentoring, motivating and working with students individually, so your well-tuned rapport and communication skills will be required. As well as working with a dynamic team you will have the full support of the Academic Portfolio Manager with all delivery resources and practical assessments fully developed.
