Support Worker - part time - Kapiti area

PLEASE NOTE: we have a selection of part time Support Worker roles available in the Kapiti area. There are a variety of shifts involved. Each role includes a few hours work most days from Monday to Friday. You need to know before applying that ALL of these vacancies need you to be available to work from 9am to 4pm every Saturday AND Sunday.Mō te tūnga | About the roleThe role of a Support Worker involves providing assistance to individuals in developing their independence and acquiring skills for daily living. This includes tasks like helping them with public transportation, employment, finances, and meal preparation. Depending on the specific work environment, Support Workers may also assist with individual needs such as shopping, cleaning, showering, and medication administration.Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bringNo prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary, but a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude is highly valued. Full training and orientation will be provided to individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts.
Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
Possession of a full NZ driver's license.
