Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunityJoin our growing team at Farmlands as a Category Manager, spearheading this dynamic category, managing top brands and impactful products within the infrastructure, retail and power tool categories, making a genuine difference for our customers in the agricultural, horticultural and lifestyle sectors.The day to day includes:
  • Developing category plans and strategies for the development and inclusion of innovative and sustainable product items for Farmlands
  • Identifying market needs and opportunities
  • Overseeing all commercial engagements with nominated vendors
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of planned category sales growth
  • Using technology and maintain and ensure compliance with systems and data to identify customer insights and to assist informed decision making
Mōhou ake | About youA skilled category manager, you'll be in your element building excellent relationships with our suppliers. You'll have a track record of developing strategy, achieving results, surpassing targets and generating commercial innovative ideas.You will also have:
  • Large scale buying experience in a category related role preferably within FMCG or a retailer
  • Strong understanding of farming operations and infrastructure
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to effectively mine data and derive actionable insights
  • Strong account management, relationship building and client servicing skills
  • A creative and curious nature, with the ability to effectively problem solve
