The Mental Health and Addiction Services at Northland DHB are seeking a Senior Medical Officer to work in the General Adult Psychiatry team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Whangārei, Northland.provides a specialist clinical mental health and addiction service to the Northland region, from north of Wellsford to Cape Reinga serving a growing population of around 190000. These services are designed to cater for people with significant mental illness and/or addiction that is beyond the scope of primary care services.Te Whatu Ora, Te Tai Tokerau is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and holds stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Māori as Tāngata Whenua as the highest priority.As our Senior Medical Officer, you will provide general adult community based clinical care to Whangārei and may include our rural based clinics. You will have the opportunity to work with specific groups of clients such as those that require intensive community treatment or crisis work.
