We are seeking applications from dynamic, and career driven Registered Nurses, preferably with experience in Plastic Surgical nursing, to help bring our vision to life in a Clinical Nurse Specialist role.Mō te tūranga - About the roleThis is a great opportunity to promote quality nursing care through research-based practice and be responsible for patient care and quality improvement initiatives right from square one.Responsibilities of the role will include:
  • manage the Southland (Dunedin held) waiting list including data integrity
  • supervise the management of patient waitlists
  • ensure the patient journey is as smooth as possible including timeliness to appointment and treatment and follow up care
  • provide support for Registrar led F/U OPD
  • contribute to the ward support for plastic surgery patients, ward rounds, advice and assistance with wound care, handover of ward rounds
  • develop and implement policies and procedures for the delivery of care for nurse appropriate patients.

  • Registered Nurse with current APC
  • Drive and enthusiasm to advocate for the best model of care for our community
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Proven practice experience within the defined scope of clinical speciality
  • Ideally you will already be working at a Clinical Nurse Specialist level and have a post graduate diploma (or working towards) and/or a master's degree
