We use our own, personal lived experience of recovery from mental distress to nurture hope and self-determination and inspire the people we support to use their personal power to move towards the life they want for themselves.We have 2 permanent part-time positions available (30-32 hours per week) working Monday to Saturday 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.He kōrero mōu | About YouIf you bring along the following, we would love to hear from you:
  • Have either a Level 4 Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Peer Support)
  • Have proven ability to work effectively with peers from diverse cultures and backgrounds, especially Māori and Pasifika communities and their whānau
  • Enjoy working alongside and supporting people
  • Be positive and encouraging with a good sense of humour
  • Have the willingness to undertake training
  • Have personal experience of challenges with mental distress and can demonstrate strong leadership in their journey of taking control of their own well-being and the development of insights and personal awareness
  • Ability to role model how to move forward in a journey to wellbeing
  • Have effective time management skills and ability to manage competing demands and deadlines
  • Have a genuine passion to make a positive difference
