Te kowhiringa | The OpportunityAs a key part of the Leadership Team, you will be working alongside the Waikato Traffic Manager with regards to leadership, management and effective delivery of all operations including internal and external supply partner activities within our contract. In this fast-paced role you will provide the necessary direction and leadership to the Traffic Management teams across the Waikato region.Day to day, you will:

Manage Traffic Services Operations to ensure business plans and strategies are achieved within the approved budget
Work with the Maintenance Operations Manager to retain and enhance current business and develop new business opportunities.
Manage, coach and assist direct reports to achieve their targets including carrying out training for TC's and STMS'

Nga pukenga matua | Important SkillsYou may be working in Traffic Management or in a similar role, and are looking for that opportunity to gain experience working within a contract that will give you the depth and development. To ensure your success in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

Proven project management experience and a suitable level of experience in the Traffic Management industry.
A strong track record of leading teams and believe leadership is not about what you do but who you are
The ability to deal with unexpected events/make decisions and provide direction to work teams
The willingness to provide solutions to assist with a 'continual improvement' philosophy
T.C and L1 STMS Training Qualifications (desirable)
