We are seeking an innovative teacher with a passion for contemporary English as well as capacity in literacy skills development. Just as important is the enjoyment of working with teenagers and a strong sense of community.For the right candidate, this role could be combined with another leadership role for example Assistant HOD or Within School Kahui Ako. .Our Languages Department is thriving and driving growth in student engagement and achievement.This High School is the largest serving the M?whera Grey District community and pride themselves on inclusiveness in their socio-economically diverse community. They collaborate in M?whera Kahui Ako and the Manaiakalani Outreach programme, as well as running the West Coast Trades Academy, M?whera Services Academy and Alt. Ed. All students work 1:1 using Chromebooks.
They are currently focussing on curriculum development and enjoy strong community support. The school seeks high quality teachers who enjoy going the extra mile for their students and our community. This position includes the high priority staffing allowance which can support relocation costs.Beginning teachers are more than welcome to apply and will be supported. Ideal start date beginning of term 2, 2024, Other alternatives could be negotiated.
