Job Description:Are you enthusiastic about Agriculture and intrigued by the developments in this field in New Zealand? Agriculture stands as New Zealand's foremost export contributor, arguably the cornerstone of our economy, undergoing fascinating transformations.We have a superb opportunity in our Nelson/Richmond region for an Accountant to engage with diverse agribusinesses, spanning different sizes and intricacies, encompassing sheep, beef, dairy, as well as viticulture, horticulture, and hops.What will your typical week look like?

Assist in preparing business advice and/or producing special purpose reports and tax returns
Work on business advisory projects such as: budgets and cash-flows, KPI dashboards and management reporting
Complete and supervise an engagement involving multiple entities and various structures from beginning to end
Assist with the management of a portfolio of clients ensuring jobs are completed effectively
Assist with general bookkeeping duties, liaise with the IRD and help with training new graduates

Let's talk about you!

Familiar with livestock farming accounts
Proven accounting experience and either qualified or part qualified CA or CPA
Strong Excel skills and practical experience with cloud accounting would be a bonus
Genuine desire to be an enthusiastic and active contributor to our growing team
Ability to develop positive relationships with key stakeholders and clients
