The successful applicant will be based in Hamilton the main Hospital, working in partnership within a team of 11 anatomical pathologists and 2 registrars. The department works in collaboration with clinicians from across the hospital and region to deliver anatomical pathology services in a tertiary hospital setting.While our anatomical pathologists cover all areas of general pathology there may be the opportunity to participate in some areas of sub speciality depending on the applicant’s background and experience. As an anatomical pathologist in our team you’ll have autonomy, mastery and purpose to deliver your mahi and contribute to the broader objectives of our busy laboratory.The role is a permanent full time position so if you think this position is a good fit for you and you would be a good fit for our department, we would love to hear from you.About youThis pivotal role requires tenacity and resilience, and calls for someone who is passionate about what they do, able to work independently as well as collaborate with team members on core elements of the work.Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality and timely serviceAn ability to solve problems in a complex, constantly changing environmentApplicants must hold a Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or an equivalent qualification and be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).About our ServiceWorking with our frontline teams delivering to our communities has great purpose.
