With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.MidCentral operates an integrated model of clinical service delivery. Te Uru Ruahī (Mental Health & Addictions services) is responsible for the commissioning and delivery of MH&A services across the rohe. The new model of care Te Mātāpuna o te Ora, focuses on an integrated treatment approach for those who would benefit from mental health and addiction services.Our new eating disorder service is focused on developing talking therapies and related interventions across our three districts and includes an interdisciplinary Team approach. This is a new and exciting opportunity where you will be joining a highly supportive and enthusiastic team.The OpportunityThis role will sit in the Manawatu Locality (Palmerston North and Feilding catchment area) but may also provide some services across the rohe. The eating disorder services will be delivered in line with national and international evidence based best practice principles.The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a level of knowledge and skill in the assessment and management mental health eating disorder presentations within a community setting. The role will also include being involved in an inter-disciplinary team approach across mental health & addiction.
