In 2022, Eurofins generated total revenues of EUR € 6.7 billion, and has been among the best performing stocks in Europe over the past 20 years.Job DescriptionThe IT Operations Manager in New Zealand will closely collaborate with their counterpart in Australia to ensure the adherence to essential project timelines and regular operational duties. In this central role, you will provide guidance and supervision to a team accountable for managing the IT infrastructure and providing daily operational support to the business. The New Zealand IT Operations Manager holds a pivotal responsibility in upholding the efficiency of IT Operations, optimizing infrastructure performance, and nurturing collaborative teamwork. Demonstrating a hands-on approach, this position sets a standard for excellence in technical support, project completion, and adherence to industry standards.Reporting to the Regional IT Infrastructure Manager, responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Leading and mentoring a team of System Administrators, Network Engineers, and Cloud Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. Facilitating knowledge sharing within the team, organizing training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and promote professional growth.
  • Streamlining support processes and workflows to ensure timely and accurate handling of support tickets and technical issues and monitoring team performance, ensuring adherence to predefined SLAs and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
  • Assisting colleagues and working closely with incident management teams to revolve complex technical problems and ensure project delivery success.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure (including systems, networks, and cloud environments), ensuring high availability, reliability, and security, and monitoring system performance, network connectivity, and cloud services, identifying potential issues and coordinating resolutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Acting as a central figure in ensuring the proficient implementation of intricate IT projects within the department.
  • Upholding a security-conscious mindset across projects, collaborating closely with the Regional Security Information Officer to ensure meticulous adherence to established policies, safeguard sensitive information, mitigate potential risks and promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness throughout the department.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with supported business units, promoting effective communication, collaboration, and understanding of IT services.
  • Ensuring adherence to Eurofins Group Standards, security protocols, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Certificate IV or Bachelor or equivalent in relevant IT field (focusing on IT Hardware, Systems Administrator or Networking)
  • 3-5 years experience in Service Desk roles and proven experience in IT operations, system administration, network engineering, or cloud technologies.
  • Leadership and project management experience, with a track record of guiding and motivating technical teams to achieve objectives, and successful project execution.
