The team aren't just settling on their current success to date, and they've got their eyes set on some exciting projects in the works.Our development team is responsible for focusing on how we better "digitally integrate" with our customers and external partners across multiple channels, particularly the internet channel (Digital), to drive a comprehensive and cohesive customer service experience.To support us in this important mahi, we are now looking to add two Senior Automation Analyst to the team to provide analysis, design and technical leadership to the organisation and project teams.Automating complex business processes and functions to reduce workload and increase process management and workflow visibility, you will provide technical expertise across Smart Council to enable the configuration of system components.Collaborating with our technical experts, including our Infrastructure, Developer and Architecture teams to develop and agree on system integration plans while reporting on progress.Playing a key role by providing detailed and specific advice regarding the automation opportunities and applications to the organisation.
  • Model, simulate, or prototype the behaviour of proposed system components.
  • Design system components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns, and methodology.
  • Produce detailed design specifications to form the basis for the construction of systems.
  • Support analysis of patterns and trends to improve problem management processes.
  • Use standard integration techniques to connect solutions together across the organisation and embedding them in a customised presentation layer that is tailored to fit the needs of the customers and Council.
A bit about youYou'll be someone keen to help others develop and grow, you'll be a strong builder (and maintainer) of relationships - and have a customer-focus and people-centric approach in the work you do.Prior experience with Microsoft Power Platform with particular focus on Power Automate and connectors and demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Office 365, including Macros and Automation would be an advantage.You will need to also have experience in and knowledge of:
  • Change and Release Management
  • Development, implementation, and maintenance of automation solutions using M365 tools such as Power Platform, MS Graph, etc.
  • Knowledge or exposure to scripting logic (JSON, PowerShell).
  • Understanding of licence model Usage of service principle/ managed identity for power platforms.
  • AWS and/or Azure Cloud services relating to integration and automation
  • System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) o project principals and methodology
  • Experience working with workflows in, and configuring of, ERP (Enterprise) Systems
As well as your technical skills, you'll have the innate ability to understand the why and intent of pieces of work and be able to translate the complex into plain language and present this at any level within council in an engaging way that makes sense.A bachelor's degree in a relevant field - e.g., Computer Science or Mathematics, and/or at least 5 years' experience actively working with workflow automation at a senior level will also be required.Working with usWorking for the Council offers you including 5 weeks annual leave, flexible working options, health and wellbeing support, Council staff discounts and a range of learning and development programmes and opportunities.Applications close 19th of May 2024.
