Everything, from roads and bridges, to energy, water and communication.The OpportunityWe’re looking for a Foreperson to join our Pavements team in Central Otago.Reporting to the Department Manager, you will be responsible for the onsite operational delivery of pavement construction on various projects within the Central Otago and Southern Lakes region. This includes planning and managing labour, plant, materials, and subcontract resource to deliver the project works safely and efficiently. You will be highly motivated and organised and enjoy leading others to maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.In addition to the above you will:

Plan, promote and maintain a safe work environment for employees, subbies, and public.
Complete and review documentation relevant to the role; time sheets, daily job sheets, pre start inspections, plant usage sheets, quality checklists and hazard IDs
Understand and deliver works to the required quality standards.
Provide training and development to team members.

We’re looking for someone with:

proven leadership capabilities
a positive can do attitude
excellent communication and organisational skills
a high level of machine operator experience including pavement final trimming.
a full Class 4 licence including WTR endorsements.
An understanding and respect for workplace health and safety requirements
