A new GM of IT has been appointed and lots of new changes and greenfield work is in place for this team! This is a permanent full time position based in Auckland and will only consider candidates with full New Zealand working rights.About the roleYou'll be part of a vibrant team, delivering IT support to our staff. This involves managing incidents and service requests from start to finish, ensuring visibility of all information, including 1st and 2nd level support activities, as well as remote support like software distribution and end-user administration tasks.As an IT Service Engineer, your role is to serve as the main point of contact for end-user requests and incidents. These are to be assessed and handled in a manner that prioritizes end-user satisfaction and enriches their experience. Our client's IT team takes pride in delivering outstanding service across the group while also seeking ways to minimize overall delivery costs.Key requirements for the role
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Support Engineer or Service Desk roles
  • Possessing a technical IT qualification or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications is a prerequisite.
  • Prior experience on a busy, customer-focused service desk is advantageous.
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 platform and adeptness in server/systems management.
  • Ability to maintain composure when assisting end-users.
  • Proficiency in remote management tools and patching.
  • Fundamental understanding of Command Line Interface (CLI) and software installation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot connectivity and printing issues.
