This role will be the main relationship holder with our key partners in NZ at a head office level and travel agencies. The role will be based out of Auckland.The role will be part of our Global Purpose Specialist (GPS) - Team which supports our travel trade partners and helps them discover more passion, purpose, and happiness.What you’ll be doing:Managing the relationship between G Adventures and our key partners in NZ at a head office level.Develop and maintain relationships and accounts with existing trade partners, travel agencies and online travel platforms across New Zealand.Create a business plan to achieve monthly and quarterly targets including growing existing accounts and prospecting for new opportunitiesProvide training on all of G Adventures’ ProductProvide exceptional customer service in every situationWork with both speed and efficiency while consistently displaying compassion and care in every interactionDifferentiate your service to provide our travel trade partners a uniquely G Adventures experience.How your mission is achieved:Connect with our travel trade partners in person, over the phone, via Zoom and emailAttend partner conferences and training eventsCreate and implement marketing campaigns and initiatives across the travel agency trade spaceAsk the right questions to ascertain the needs of each unique travel trade partnerRecommend and sell the right trip for the partners traveller based on their needsHold regular training sessions to ensure your travel trade partners are up to date with G Adventures productPresent G Adventures product to groups of agents and/or clients from 4 to 100+Organise and stick to a strategic call plan, ensuring travel trade partners are visited as frequently as they requireEnsure accuracy in recording all sales visits in SalesforceMaintain superior knowledge of all G Adventures product and changesBe an integral part of G Adventures amazing company culture and live by the G Adventures Core values.Be the first point of contact for any of your trade partners Sales & Marketing inquiriesCreating succinct marketing plans with partners to drive enquires and conversionEnsuring the prominence of G Adventures products on our travel trade partners social, website and digital platformsSome of the things that we would love:Proven experience in a Key Account Manager/BDM positionProven ability to form relationships across all hierarchical levels within a Consortia Partner.On-the-road travel sales experienceDemonstrated strategic business planning, analysing, and reporting skillsStrong negotiation skillsAdvanced skills in interpersonal relationship managementEffective communication skills in english, both verbal and writtenAbility to work irregular hours, if required (occasionally early starts to train travel trade partners before they open or evenings, weekends in case of conferences and events)Domestic and International travel are involved in this roleA love of sales and travelValid license and own vehicleDesired skillsAbility to understand and demonstrate professional sales presentation techniquesProblem-solving/complaint resolution skills with a focus on the customer experienceFlexible and energetic, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environmentAbility to navigate and use a variety of computer systems confidently with speed and efficiencyUnderstanding of and identification with G Adventures’ Core ValuesExperience with Salesforce, Slack, Google products and Zoom is an assetPlease note, applications close for this position on April 02, 2024What do we offer you?Competitive salary commensurate with the roleCompetitive benefits packageBirthday day offVacation time for you to rechargeEnhanced Parental LeaveLearning and growth opportunitiesEmployee Resource Groups*Applicable based on location*G Adventures is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
